Become a host family
As a Host Family, you would provide a “Home Away From Home” during a Service Member’s first years at Tinker Air Force Base. This gives you the opportunity to serve as a positive mentor, friend, and advisor, as well as provide a caring environment for these young Service Members to escape the pressures of work and future deployments.
To qualify, Host Families must:
Agree to a background check (no cost to applicants)
Commit to spend one to two days a month with Service Member(s)
Commit to host Service Member(s) throughout their full tour at TAFB (approximately 1-3 years)
Provide a welcoming atmosphere, with opportunities for home-cooked meals and inclusion in holiday events/activities
